Definition of Journalism

Journalism is a highly misunderstood profession. Journalism is not reporting distractions and the obvious. Journalism is a social responsibility an honorable profession, a democratic tool to preserve and protect democracy. Journalism is the protective shield and informative body absolutely necessary to protect the public through informing the people of the conducts of their government and the ruling elites. An authentic journalism is to investigate, discover and reveal the truth, informing people of what the ruling elites and government doesn't want the public to know.
The news gathering organization must all be non-profit cooperatives owned and operated by the local people of the region and the employees of the organization.
We, the people, must learn to always be skeptics and believe nothing, no matter where we see it, no matter where we read it, no matter who is saying it, no matter even if the speaker claims to be quoting divine sources, unless the news and the subjects are based on reason and common sense.
